For Light Skin Tones:
For blondes or subtle red color try a strawberry blonde shade. This color is great with lighter tones because it won't be to much. You want to stay on the lighter side of reds. Dark reds will wash you out. Brunettes/dark blonde add a hint of red that will blend or enhance your hair color. Stick to warmer shades.( auburn, red-orange tones)
For Medium Skin Tones:Medium red and auburns work well. Lowlights in a slightly darker and redder shade will have you standing out. Medium reddish brown compliments you without being to drastic.
For Dark/Olive Skin Tones: Cooler red shades work the best. Burgundies and violet based colors compliment well. Deep Mahogany reds give a nice boost. For a eye catching look try panels this gives dimension to your hair.
Maintaining Red Hair: Reds fade the fastest. So to keep your color looking fresh avoid using products that will strip out your color. Try a color care shampoo/conditioner that's sulfate free or a boosting shampoo that will revive your hair color.
