Ok ladies I know we all are sick of waking up to this snow!! The first thing we do is grab our scarfs, gloves and hats. Although, hats are a big trend this winter, we don't want to forget to take care of our hair! Having your hair covered up in the winter however, does help protect your hair from the wind and also sun damage. ( yes the sun in the winter is as harmful as it is in the summer) So here's a guide to some winter hair care. Keep your hair beautiful and healthy regardless of the cold, dry air, or whatever the winter brings your way!
When was the last time you got a trim? Keeping up on getting your ends trimmed is a must to help promote strong, healthy, growing hair. If you are maintaining length then trim your hair about a half inch a month. Trimming your hair will prevent any breakage.
Does your hair have more fly aways or static in the winter? Keeping your hair conditioned will help prevent static electricity. ( Here's a little trick to help: Take your brush or comb and spray a anti-static spray or hairspray before)
Whats your nightly routine?
I must admit sometimes i do get lazy especially after a long day of work. The last thing on my mind is wrapping my hair! But ladies taking care of your hair at night is a must to help maintain your hair. Wrap your hair up in a silk scarf or sleep on satin pillow case. Help keep the moisture in your hair and keep that style up!
TIP: WHEN DOING A HAIR WRAP MAKE SURE YOU WRAP YOUR HAIR THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION YOU WANT YOUR HAIR TO FALL.
